Business Development Manager

Due to our continued expansion and to support our Chief Customer Officer (CCO) we are looking for a Business Development Manager for our Hamburg, Germany.

Founded in 1953 and headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, ASK International Market Research GmbH (ASKi) is a market research service provider for field and data collection services. We coordinate global market research initiatives: planning, organizing, and supervising fielding with our global network of partners.
We offer full service expertise with customized study plans.

Your duties:

-Acquisition of new customers and independent maintenance of existing customers in close cooperation with the CCO
-Development and support of international partners
-Implementation of sales activities
-Target-based negotiations, i.e. coordination of contract and price negotiations
-Development of individual pricing and profitability calculations
-Creation of quotes and presentations
-Preparation for national/international conferences and tradeshows
-Willingness to travel (international)
-Participation in international research conferences for client acquisition purposes
-Report to the CCO

The requirements:

-Successful completion of a business (specialist) degree or a comparable education with a focus on marketing, market research, psychology, sociology or related subjects
-At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in market research
-Proven in-depth sales experience and experience in customer service
-High level of focus on customer service
-Strong negotiating skills, such as being persuasive and an excellent closer
-Systematic, analytical thinking
-Organizational capacity in a structured, team environment along with the ability to work independently
-Native or near-native command of German and English. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
-Well-organized, self-starter
-Work well under pressure and possess excellent conflict resolution skills
-Exceptional communication skills and manners
-Very good knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
